Since 1995, a number of people from our
church have gone to Haiti, to do some construction projects,
building a large, covered cistern to collect rain water for an
orphanage. One of these team members, Geoff Ward, continued to
go by himself to Haiti to help the native pastors, in partnership
with Michel Augustin, who acted as his host, guide, and interpreter.
I began to travel to Haiti with
Geoff in January 2001 in order to help train pastors and leaders by
doing teaching seminars around Port au Prince and sometimes into the
interior.
Presently, we are sending teams each
year, helping them to do leadership training and relief work. Since
the earthquake we are working toward a new day in Haiti and hope you
will get involved with your prayers and support.
