Studies /
Notes
There are a number of places within this website where you can find study
material on a range of topics-- all in the attempt to promote personal revival
and spiritual growth.
Wordsmith
Wordsmith Study Notes were originally intended for those
who were preparing for the ministry in our local church. In June 1994, I
began to print them in a newsletter format, sending them out to leaders I knew
around the world. When the Internet became more accessible, I decided that it
would be more effective to publish Wordsmith on-line. This seems to have struck
a need and become a proven way to invest in the lives of those who are in
ministry or who are being trained for it.

Word of the Week
These are brief studies along various themes which you can use to launch your
own study. Some of these notes are the basis of a sermon that was taught at
WellSpring Fellowship.

Come Aside
Finding the
rhythm between work and rest cannot be forced, neither can anybody can make you
do it, not even Jesus. It must be learned by experience, taught be our Good
Pastor. While I can share with you what I have learned about coming aside,
emphasizing the need to do it, illustrating it with examples of how I have done
it, in the end, only Jesus can show you how to do it for where you are at in
this moment in time.

Missions Training
One thing
that we learn from reading 1 Corinthians 13, it is that motivation matters.
Anyone can endure the rigors of a missions trip, at least to get a notch in our
belt or another stamp in our passport, but doing it for the love of God and
truly help others is what makes a difference in the world. These studies are
intended to inspire motivations for missions that honor the Lord.
